I saw lots of different kinds of weather and some crazy stuff but never got snow like this when I was in school.
Not a lot going on here in Nash’vegas, just watching it rain. However, the attached video made me think of one of my rules to live by…
Turn up your volume. The volume is a little low.
Donovan was so good for the entire service and it was a wonderful afternoon. Hope you all enjoy.
Man,
It has been a while. Daddy has not been giving me any computer time and so I just have not been able to post. However, I have found a backdoor into his system and there has been a lot going on so hopefully I will be posting a lot over the holidays.
Got some videos for you:
Oh, the things they do to me…
I will surely find a way to get them back.
I hope everyone is doing well and there will be more to come soon.
It has been a long time since I posted, I guess I spend too much time sleeping. Kinda like our trip to the Knoxville Zoo. We went to Gatlinburg this week and the Zoo was a side trip. Momma and Daddy tell me we saw bears, lions, zebras, all kinds of animals but they just let me sleep through the whole visit.
- Could you help a fella with this seatbelt?
Actually the only time they woke me was to feed me and we were sitting by the elephant exhibit and that was pleasant.
Momma and Daddy seem to think this baby thing can be tiring but it is all good with me. They just need to get in bed a little earlier and they would be fine.
So that is my update. I promise I will post more when I start sleeping a little less.
I now have a full understanding of the use of sleep deprivation as an interrogation technique. What day is it and exactly where are we going?
Well, at least the first couple of days were like that. Being a nervous dad I did not sleep a lot…why is he making so much noise? why is he being so quiet? I am finally calming down a little, settling in to a bit of a routine and sleeping more than I was. Things are going good, Donovan is a great baby, and we are having a great time. Yesterday was a change; it was just the 3 of us for the first time in a couple of weeks.
I will say this; not only is my child spoiled and not a good sleeper without being held but Kim & I were quite spoiled with all the support we received from our friends, church family, family, and a “live in” “Nana” and “Papaw” for two weeks. We give thanks every night before bed and mention you all; your prayers and support meant the world to us. We are almost ashamed of being so blessed with so many people that love us and we will never be able to thank you enough.
Another thing that has become very obvious to me is the absolute divine providence in the way things have transpired over the past year culminating with me not working right now. I have spent so much quality time with my wife and new son over the past two weeks. These moments can never be recreated and I am so thankful for this opportunity.
That thought reminds me of one of life’s constants: what is it that you, I, Michael Phelps, and Bill Gates all have in common?…the same 24 hours: the only difference is what each of us does with our allotment. So I have made the challenge to myself to be cognizant of where God has placed me and make sure that I make the most of and treasure every moment.
Sorry to ramble on so but it has been a while since I last posted and we have done a lot over the past 2 weeks. Hopefully, the next 2 weeks will be just as exciting…
It’s game day baby!
I got here just in time; there was the Thurs night game with SC & NC St, last night we watched poor June Jones get shellacked in his opener @ SMU (Maybe he was still on island time), and then today is a full slate of college FOOTBALL.
Just as an aside, Lee Corso couldn’t coach his way out of a wet paper bag: OK I feel better.
We are off to the VT game watching party, then I have to rush home change into my Auburn outfit for the debut of Coach Franklin’s spread offense, and then daddy says if I am good I can stay up for the late night Pac 10 game…yeah, I know, it’s the Pac 10 but it still closely resembles football.
And then tomorrow night there is a race in California…boy it is a good thing Monday is a holiday.
Well, I have to get off the computer, I hear momma coming to get me loaded up in my car seat, see you all later.
It has been a crazy 4 days…spending the first two nights @ Baptist Hospital and then back and forth to the hospital, doctors & nurses, feedings and changings…but it is wonderful.

thats my boy
We are finally home and it is good to be settled. Big praise: when I got up Sunday morning the AC was not working. Thankfully, it is under a 10 yr warranty and they were able to get out today and get it fixed. Well until next time…

coming home for the first time

home sweet home
You know some times I get real frustrated with technology. I taped a cute little introduction video with my still camera only to find out that it formats video as .mov files…which windows has issues with the audio and so I was unable to post it and you be able to make out what I am saying. And I have been trying to convert the file for a couple of hours and have finally given up.
Oh, I forgot, this post is to introduce my son…

Our new addition’s name is William Donovan Len. We will call him Donovan. I have included a couple of additional photos…

What are you doing uncle David?
and hope to post a bunch of files on my Facebook page soon. I will let you know.
